Mikrocerrahi ile Sinir Transferi
For simplicity, facial reanimation treatments can be divided into non-surgical, early surgical (nerve transfers), and late surgical (muscle transfers and lifts).
Nerve transfer with microsurgery is the most important treatment for early surgical treatment. Native facial muscles that are paralysed are reinnervated by other nerve sources to reanimate the muscles. This surgical treatment solution is superior compared to late surgical options (muscle transfers) because native facial muscles are still alive.
Three main nerve sources are used in various combinations by Dr.Berke Özücer
- masseter nerve transfer (chewing nerve)
- crossfacial nerve transfer (facial nerve of the opposite healthy side)
- hypoglossal nerve transfer (tongue nerve)
